Who we are and how to contact us

This notice covers the PaidGig Android, iOS and web marketplace and related services operated by PAiDGiG Technologies Inc. Contact founder@paidgig.app or our support form for privacy questions, access, correction or a concern about our response. Do not send passwords, full tax identifiers or unnecessary identity documents.

Information we collect

Account information includes your name, email, authentication and verification records, account roles, and profile information such as skills, availability, rates, business details, contact information and profile images. We process jobs, applications, contracts, agreed rates, messages, reviews, time entries, work-verification photos and files, and payment-related records generated through the service.

Tax information you provide includes legal and business names, classification, tax address, tax-identifier type and last four digits, certification and electronic-delivery consent. The tax form does not request a full SSN or EIN. We also process notification preferences and device push tokens, IP addresses and security/session logs, support messages, safety reports, blocks and account-deletion requests.

Device permissions and location

With your permission, foreground location supports nearby matching, location updates and location attached to submitted work evidence. Nearby worker discovery requires an opt-in and uses a coarse location; location you attach to work evidence can be more precise and visible to authorized contract participants. Camera access and system photo/file selection support profile and work uploads. Push notifications use a device token and the platform notification services. You can deny or revoke permissions in device settings and change discovery or notification preferences; the related features may then be unavailable.

Why we use information

We use data to operate accounts and the marketplace, match workers and businesses, coordinate and document work, deliver account and activity notifications, prepare requested tax records, support users, prevent fraud and abuse, moderate content, and meet legal obligations. Current pilot payment features do not provide a live money-transfer service. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Sharing and service providers

Public jobs and discoverable profile information can be seen by other marketplace users. Applications, messages, contracts and work evidence are shared with the relevant authorized participants. Tax records and safety/deletion administration are restricted to authorized account or administrative functions, not public profiles.

Providers process data to host and store the service (Microsoft Azure), deliver transactional email (Postmark), route push notifications (Expo and Apple/Google notification services), and protect contact forms against abuse (Cloudflare Turnstile). Provider processing may occur outside your state or country. We may disclose records when legally required or necessary to address fraud, disputes or threats to safety. Reporting a user does not grant that user access to the reporter's administrative complaint.

Retention and account deletion

Request deletion of your PaidGig account and associated data from this website or Account safety in the app. You do not need to reinstall the app. We verify ownership before acting; support is available if you cannot sign in. Submission creates a review request, not a claim that deletion is already complete.

On completion we remove or anonymize account/profile information and associated data that is no longer needed, revoke sign-in sessions and push registration, and address stored uploads and provider records. Contract, financial, tax, work-evidence, security and dispute records may be retained when necessary for legal obligations, fraud prevention or resolving an existing matter. We review and document those exceptions and explain relevant retained categories and outstanding steps when handling the request. Deletion does not cancel a work or payment obligation. Retained records are not reused to reactivate a public profile.

Operational records are kept while needed for their stated purposes. Backup copies expire through the applicable backup-retention cycle rather than immediate individual erasure; restored data must be subject to the same deletion handling. Contact us for the status of a request or questions about a particular retained record.

Security and your choices

We use HTTPS transport, access controls and session protections, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password. You can update profile information, adjust permissions and notification settings, block or report users, and request access, correction or deletion. Depending on your location, additional privacy rights may apply; contact us to exercise them. Material updates to this notice will carry a new effective date.
